What is an Electronic Cigarette?
An Electronic Cigarette, also known as an E-Cig or E-Cigarette, is battery powered device that resemble the shape and feel of an actual cigarette. Generally an E-cig comprises of three parts: the battery, atomizer, and cartridge/mouthpiece. The cartridges are replaceable mouthpieces that generally contain liquid nicotine, water, and propylene glycol or some other substance which aids in the creation of a "smoke-like" effect. When a user inhales on the electronic cigarette the atomizer is activated which in turn heats up the contents of the cartridge. This process delivers nicotine to your body. When the user exhales a harmless vapor from the propylene glycol is emitted, simulating a real smoking experience.
